Delaware, despite it's relatively small size, offers a diversity of water-oriented activities equivalent to that one will find in much larger States. In addition, the cost to own property in Delaware is far less than the cost to maintain property in many States, ex. New Jersey, given the wide gap in property taxes. Housing types in Delaware range from expansive detached structures to condos, with townhomes in the middle. Individuals who prefer old-town charm can hang out in Lewes, while those in search of more activity will head to Rehoboth or Dewey. When in need of downtime, Cape Henlopen State Park should suffice. Groups interested in conducting business while enjoying the sun and sand may utilize the University of Delaware Virden Center in Lewes with it's conference rooms, food and overnight lodging.
